Dear Friends,
it is a great pleasure and honour for me to inform you that the 4th Annual International Symposium “Biosecurity and Biosafety: future trends and solutions” will be held in Milan (Italy), on October 10-12, 2012, and the Symposium setting will be once again the prestigious Cusani Palace, Milan, representative Location of NATO Rapid Reaction Corps Command.
The Annual international Symposium has become a regular appointment in Italy to discuss about new trends, new tools, new implementation opportunities on biosafety and biosecurity. The Symposium is organized by the Clinical Microbiology L. Sacco University Hospital Milan, national reference structure for emergencies in case of bioterrorism and pandemics, in collaboration with EBSA and with the support of the Italian Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Interior.
The aim of the symposium is to create a platform for sharing information about the strategies, the programmes, the proposals of international institutions (WHO, NATO, UN, EU Commission, USA) in the field of biosafety and biosecurity. The symposium brings together outstanding international experts and presents key topics and ideas on the latest researches, technologies and strategic programmes on the subject. Resources optimization, bridge creation between different cultures, working together and avoiding overlapping of programmes is crucial in the world scenario of our times.
The meeting continues to strive for improvements in coordination and level of standards of biosafety, biosecurity: there is an acute need to continue the serious and important tasks that were undertaken during the conference back in 2009, 2010 and 2011. It continues to be a golden opportunity for networking with experts and to exchange the latest scientific findings and experiences with the prospect of being at the forefront of this emerging global field. The congress is accompanied by a trade exhibition of biological and chemical safety and security equipment and services. The exhibition offers a good opportunity for the participants to make themselves acquainted with commercially available state-of-the-art equipment in the field of safety.
See you again in Milan at next edition of the symposium on 2012!
